Triple the chocolatey, fudgy goodness with melted dark chocolate, cocoa, and dark chocolate chips, these GF & DF Triple Chocolate Peanut Butter Cookies are probably one of my favorite indulgent treats to date! They’re mixed with natural peanut butter and topped with your choice of flaky sea salt or a touch of powdered sugar.
If you know me at all, then you know I love a good cookie. And honestly, chocolate & peanut butter is probably my favorite flavor combo of all time, so when I created these delicious brownie-like triple chocolate peanut butter cookies, I knew they’d be a winner.
They definitely are a mix between a brownie and a cookie, so for the days you can’t decide between making a batch of warm chocolate cookies or a pan of soft, fudgy brownies, these are for you! They are THE best of both worlds, and they have proven to be a crowd pleaser wherever I bring them. And why do I bring them everywhere, you ask?? Because they are SO easy to make (despite their mis-leading long name), and I think I might be addicted… I dare you to sink your teeth into a bite of these thick, pillowy triple chocolate peanut butter cookies, with swirls of peanut butter throughout, and not fall in love. They really are that good!
These triple chocolate peanut butter cookies taste delish on their own, or they can be enjoyed with a touch of flaky sea salt on top or some organic powdered sugar. I, of course, chose both (for the sake of contrast in these photos as well as a sweet and salty finish)!
A few other things that make these cookies a winner:
- They’re gluten and dairy free
- They can be refined sugar free if you omit the powdered sugar topping
- They take less than a half hour to whip up, beginning to end
- They’re freezer-friendly (they taste just as amazing when they thaw out of the freezer for at least a half hour)
- Everybody will love you for making them (brownie points! Er, I mean brownie cookie points!)

Triple Chocolate Peanut Butter Cookies (Gluten Free & Dairy Free!)
Triple the chocolatey, fudgy goodness with melted dark chocolate, cocoa, and dark chocolate chips, these GF & DF Triple Chocolate Peanut Butter Cookies are probably one of my favorite indulgent treats to date! They're mixed with natural peanut butter and topped with your choice of flaky sea salt or a touch of powdered sugar.
Ingredients
- 1 cup natural peanut butter (or almond butter) *nuts only, no added sugar
- 1 cup coconut sugar
- 1 cup dark chocolate chips (melted)
- 1 cup almond flour
- 2 large eggs
- 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 2 tablespoons vanilla extract
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1 tsp sea salt
- 1 cup dark chocolate chips (to mix in)
- powdered sugar (optional topping)
- flaky sea salt (optional topping)
Instructions
Preheat oven to 375 degrees F and line 2 baking sheets with parchment paper.
In large bowl, whisk together coconut sugar, melted dark chocolate, and eggs.
Stir in the rest of the ingredients (except the extra cup of dark chocolate chips and peanut butter) with a spatula or large spoon until smooth and combined.
Fold in the peanut butter lightly. If you over mix it, that's fine, but you will not achieve the PB swirl in each cookie.
Fold in dark chocolate chips.
Scoop into 30 equal balls (I used my 1 1/2" melon scooper), and pat down slightly with back of scooper.
Bake for 10-14 minutes and watch to not over bake, as they will dry out if you do. The center should be very soft, like a brownie.
Let sit about 5 minutes and then transfer to cooling rack.
Once completely cooled, it is optional to add powdered sugar and/or flaky sea salt to top.
