Having healthier snacks in the house is always a “must” for me. I like to incorporate as many superfoods and balanced macros into each meal, so I aim to do the same when I need a quick snack. I love all of Orgain’s protein mixes, so for this recipe, I decided to use their Creamy Chocolate Fudge Organic Protein™ & Superfoods Plant Based Protein Powder. I use this same flavor in my smoothies and other recipes as well.

So, why do you need these Edible Cookie Dough Bites in your life?? 

  1. They’re super quick and easy to make.
  2. They taste JUST like real chocolate cookie dough but without any harmful ingredients. 
  3. They have a nice balance of macros: carbs, healthy fats, and protein. 
  4. They are easily customizable so you can add whatever toppings/add-ins you like. (See below.)

Other Ways to Enjoy Healthy Edible Chocolate Cookie Dough Bites

  1. rolled in your favorite nuts/seeds
  2. drizzled with melted dark chocolate (you can then add those nuts/seeds on top as well!)
  3. mixed with rolled oats or quinoa flakes
  4. mixed with other protein powder flavors (think vanilla bean with chocolate chips!)
  5. plain without any toppings/add-ins

Balanced with healthy protein, fats, and carbs, these naturally sweetened Edible Chocolate Cookie Dough Bites can be customized to whatever your sweet tooth craves. 

Ingredients

  • 1 T pure maple syrup
  • 2 T nut butter
  • 2 T unsweetened almond milk
  • 2 scoops Orgain Creamy Chocolate Fudge Organic Protein™ & Superfoods Plant Based Protein Powder (about 1/2 cup)
  • 2 scoops Vital Proteins Collagen Peptides
  • 2 T shredded unsweetened coconut (optional)
  • pinch coarse sea salt (optional)

Instructions

In a medium sized bowl, cream nut butter, almond milk, protein powder, and collagen peptides on low speed until well combined. Mixture might be a bit crumbly.

Add maple syrup and continue mixing on low-medium speed just to combine.

Refrigerate for 30 minutes if you want to eat as "bites" or serve immediately if you want to eat by "scoop". *If it is not refrigerated, it will have a batter-like texture.

Remove from refrigerator and and use a tablespoon to measure 8 equal bites. Roll each into balls with your hands.

Dip each ball/bite into shredded coconut to coat (optional).

Sprinkle each with a pinch of coarse sea salt (optional).

Store in refrigerator for 1 week or freezer for 3 months.
